War in Ukraine and Omicron Weigh on Air Cargo, but African airlines see cargo volumes increase – IATA

Following is the International Air Transport Association’s (IATA) latest analysis of demand for air cargo transport globally and by region.  It is based on traffic and schedule data collated during March 2022.

During the period, African airlines saw cargo volumes increase by 3.1% in March 2022 compared to March 2021. Their cargo carrying capacity was 8.7% above March 2021 levels.
