The Museum has been working hard behind the scenes to prepare new social distancing measures in preparation for re-opening, a one-way visitor flow and a limit of the number of people in each building will be in place when the Museum reopens on17 May. Hand sanitiser will be available at the entrance to each hangar and throughout each building. Hand washing facilities are also available in all Museum buildings. We also encourage visitors to act in a manner that respects the safety of others.
The RAF Museum is unique in terms of our size, we offer wide open spaces – both inside and out, and a range of exhibits that will engage the whole family. Our large green spaces are ideal for a summer picnic and we are also offering take-away food at our restaurants. Onsite parking is available, and the Museum shop will also be open and take contactless payment.

Let’s go! Get the whole family moving at ActiveFest this summer.
Tackle The Hercules, our outdoor obstacle course; race against your friends or try to compete for the top spot on our leader board. You will face the ninja wall, need to crawl under cargo nets and swing over water to get to the finish line. Sign your little ones up for a parent and baby yoga session or get them moving in our activity classes.
To everyone in the RAF physical health and wellbeing are very important, so join us at the RAF Museum for this outdoor festival of fitness and fun. (Charges apply).

Our vintage fairground will be on site to make your trip to our outdoor cinema even more memorable. Have a go on the swing boats or high striker before sitting down to watch one of our family favourites. (Charges apply).
